Yeah, enough of Blankyship.
Give Verity a shot at the job...he can't be worse than Hot Rod (now Cold Rod) was last year.

What an amazing lack of context and information to make such strong judgments of players.

Not really. Saw enough of Specs to know, he ain't the guy.

I am not sold that he is the guy, but he was very accurate through mid range until getting injured last year in his second season. It seems ridiculous to choose another kicker based on less than 10 kicks that he made only one more on and we don't even know anything about the ones they made based on a short tweet. This just seems ridiculously over reactionary.

No I seen it with my own eyes, nothing to do with the tweet

If they move on from Specs I seriously doubt it will just be about 10 field goals. They are watching these guys every day. Specs is a slightly below average kicker in my opinion (he can't kick for shit beyond 45-50 yards-every one of us has either seen a game won or lost on 50+ yard kick). If we can get an upgrade I am all for it. It is impossible for me to judge who is better on what we see, I just have to trust the coaches. If all things are close to equal, go with the stronger leg.

Hot Rod with another perfect day of kicking. Long of 54.

Second straight year that Blankenship has kicked great at Grand Park.

Jake Verity again misses from 54.

Sure, but if there is any position preseason games are not a way to evaluate players, kickers are it. They get so few to compare them.
