That was 3 years earlier, on Monday Night Football from September of 1978.

It was the first season in which the Colts went largely without Jones. They lost the first 2 games of the season by a combined score of of 80-0, and were playing the Patriots on their homefield ........ so the Colts were underdogs by more than 14 points.

Jones was cheering his ass off from the sidelines with his arm in a sling whenever the Colts scored a touchdown, as Washington and company went wild on the heavily-favored Patriots (who would go on to win the division with a record of 11-5.)

Washington was involved in 3 TD's ....... 1 passing, 1 receiving, and 1 on a kickoff return late in the 4th quarter which proved to be the game-winner.

Andrew Luck threw 32 passes without being sacked once.

Marlon Mack rushed for 148 yards and 1 TD on 24 attempts, for an average of 6.2 yards-per-carry.

Even though he was sacked 3 times in 36 pass attempts, I think that the offensive line gave Luck good protection for most of the game.

Yesterday was an exception to the rule ........ Luck was not nearly as good as was his offensive line.

I'd have to disagree with that pretty strongly. To me it looked like the line play was poor overall. Both pass blocking and run blocking. Hell, I believe with 8 mins to go in the fourth Luck was the teams leading rusher w/ 17 yds and Mack was averaging 2.1 yds per carry. 3 sacks in 36 attempts (two of which I remember specifically being on Lick very quickly ), several more hurries, and a slew of balls batted down at the LOS do not make for a good game for the line IMO. As a group they played as poorly as anyone else on offense IMO.

What was up with not even bothering to block Dee Ford multiple times? He wasn't disguised at all.

Here are Mack’s runs up until 8:31 left in the game when KC started conceding the run due to time:

-3
10
6
2
-6
3
3

The two losses were both on 1st down, putting the team in a hole to start the series. Those rush numbers are not indicative of good OL play. They sucked as bad as nearly everyone else on offense.

It's obvious that the O-Line did not play up to their standard. But, neither did anyone else on offense not named TY Hilton.
