Pass rusher has to be addressed, need someone that can run down Allen and Mahomes type QBs. The difference in the playoff game was Allen running circles around our defense

I'm an advocate of bringing in a veteran OF like Veldheer, who performed well for us, and drafting a LT early.

I wanna have options.

There are not many teams out there with cap space to "outbid" anyone this season. Sure, the top 10-15 free agents will get multiple offers but once those guys are past, there is just not enough cap space out there to pay premium prices on good to solid players.

We may see a larger number of short term deals so that players can get the bigger payday they seek when the cap goes back up in a year or two.

I suspect we don't sign a LT, but plan on drafting one. But a RG could be an option in free agency (but I could also see us drafting a guard).

Allen Robinson at WR is an interesting case. His last 2 years in Chicago he put up some pretty good stats despite having Trubisky as his QB. And you know that Reich likes tall receivers. 6'2-3" isn't huge, but still taller than average for WR.

I'm curious about Shaquil Barrett. Dude had 20 sacks in 2019. But I don't know if he would translate to the Colts defense, his numbers jumped tremendously going from Denver to Tampa, probably because he was a better fit in Bowles' weird 3-4 D.

Azeez Ojulari would be great for that if Trent Williams was signed or the Colts are comfortable with a 2nd round OT like Liam Eichenberg.

Expect Robinson to get tagged.

Shaq Barrett is going to get (over)PAID by some team, I hope it's not the Colts. I'd spend my cap dollars on Yannick Ngakoue, Bud Dupree, Carl Lawson, and/or Romeo Okwara were I pursuing pass rushers in FA.

Just remember, The colts have 40-ish mill in cap space, and a CB1, LDE, RDE,LT and maybe a WR to fill.

All of these positions are expensive, and they absolutely need to extend Leonard and Smith before the end of the year! (Don't want either to hit free agency...)
You can fill 1 or 2 positions with the draft...maybe, if they hit. But still not as much money to go get top dollar Free Agents as people think.

I bet Ballard uses the team cap market (Only 8 teams have $30 mil or more to work with this year, and 7 are in the negatives) to get good players on frugal 1-2 year deals...

Carl Lawson seems like a great fit and Ballard type guy. I’d love to get that dude

Say it again for those in the back.
