Anyone think of this one as a trap game? Broncos defense is better than you think. And coming off of two big wins.

If Pagano was still coach yes.
Reich will have them ready.

The Colts had a huge win over the Chiefs on their home-field 3 weeks ago, and their next game (2 weeks later) posed a possibility of a letdown and/or the Colts thinking that they are better than they were because of that big win ........ the win over the Texans (and particularly the fact that they played well overall as a team) tends to point to Reich having the team prepared to avoid something like that happening.

Reich needed to get his team to believe in themselves, believe that they could beat a team with arguably the best quarterback in the NFL, and to do so on their homefield.

Mission accomplished.

Now, Reich may have to do somewhat of the opposite with them ........ to try to get his players to NOT get big heads because of their impressive road win over the previously undefeated Chiefs, and to remind them that they are just as capable of getting their heads handed to them by DeShaun Watson and company as they were of beating Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Remind them that this same team got their asses kicked by the Raiders on their home field a week prior to their win over the Chiefs, that they have not appeared in an AFC Championship game in 5 years or in a Super Bowl in 10 years when the only player on this current roster was Adam Vinatieri, etc.

Yes, absolutely. We were coming off two big wins (well, Atlanta and JAX seemed big at the time at least) when we let the Raiders beat us a few weeks ago.

Incidentally, I've noticed the spread has dropped significantly too (Colts were 6.5 favorites but are now 4.5 point favorites). And I know the spread has no causative effect on the outcome of the games, but statistically speaking it tends to be pretty wise.

Also statistically speaking, we are due for a 7+ point win.

I think the Raiders game was a wake up call that the Colts can't take any team lightly.

I hope you have the < switched, and meant >. I think consensus has Reich greater than Pagano.

But I think this game will truly show the true nature of Eberflus. If he adapts his defense to this game, then he may be my new favorite D.C. in the NFL.
