Sure hope the Colts get a LT at 54 and there's not a massive run on OTs at the top of Round 2. Of course now the opposite of both of those things will happen.

Here is a list of remaining OT's for day 2 most are graded fairly close together
Teven Jenkins Dillon Radunz Samuel Cosmi Spencer Brown Liam Eichenberg Walker Little Jalen Mayfield My guess is at least 3 of them are available at 54 These are the DE still available Ronnie Perkins Carlos Basham Jr. Patrick Jones II Dayo Odeyingbo Rashad Weaver Daelin Hayes Shaka Toney Do you not see the clear advantage of getting edge rush early? The cupboard is pretty bare now Remember WR is very deep this yr too so there will be WR's taken Not to mention that the #1 LB and the #! Safety are still on the board

Those of us who aren't happy with the Paye pick are not upset about picking an Edge over an OT. We're upset that Ballard picked a project Edge over a plug and play OT, who will help out immediately.
Also, as I pointed out in the other thread we should have gone with Rousseau instead since Ballard was dead set at drafting another Edge project, since Rousseau has proven he can produce at a high level. |

This was said about him....
"When looking at Paye’s production during his time at Michigan, it isn’t fully indicative of the type of edge rusher he can be. Michigan didn’t completely use him as a full-time edge rusher and sometimes had him aligned on the inside shoulder of the tackle." Also.... "The Colts won’t make that mistake. Paye’s burst, athleticism and length should allow him to thrive in the aggressive, one-gap front that Matt Eberflus implements on Indy’s defense." |

How would you describe him? He's a great athlete who hasn't produced on the field, which at least IMO makes him a project.

What do you consider production? Why did so many have him high on their boards because what they saw in his production. His disruptiveness was brought up often.

Sacks and TFL. That's what you pay a DE to do. He was obviously rated so high b/c of his athletic traits and lack of premium pass rushers in this year's draft.
Also, here's a concerning quote on him from someone who knows what he's talking about: Said McFarland: “I’m just concerned: Can Kwity Paye do it right now? He’s a very raw guy. “Do the Colts need him next year? If they do, they better coach him up pretty quick and get his primary move and secondary move ready to go.” |
