Default Jets hire away Rex Hogan from Colt's front office

To be expected. If you have any success, players, coaches, front office personnel will be poached by other organizations.

Hogan previously worked for the Jets under their prior GM.

New Jets’ GM Joe Douglas now has a new man at his side: Jets hired former Colts’ VP of player personnel Rex Hogan as assistant General Manager, per sources. Jets get a coveted personnel man.

A few other comments about the move:

From Albert Breer:

I'm told that Hogan's contract in Indy wasn't up. Rather, GM Chris Ballard let him go, because it represented a move up for Rex. Class move by Ballard.

This is a promotion for Hogan, who was No. 3 in Indy’s power structure. Now he’ll be No. 2. Very well-respected in the scouting community.
