For this old timer it harkens back to 1975. You had a young franchise QB (jones) with a first year coach(Marchibroda) with a lot of young talent on both sides of the ball. The team started slowly(1-4) but the talent started to jell
and the team went through the rest of their schedule like a runaway locomotive. And on a foggy day in Memorial stadium they beat the mighty Dolphins of Don Shula and secured the division crown. This year feels a lot like that. They may or may not make the playoffs(I think they will) but then as now you get the feeling that this is the start of something big. It's been a good experience, among the better ones I've had in the decades I've been following sports. |
