Could be. I can’t find it right now, but I believe there was a quote from Ballard about the team being further along than he anticipated. This could be an indication of that. If so I hope it extends to free agency this offseason as well.

This isn't about his talent, it's about his commitment. He's on double secret probation. He pops another positive, he is DONE. Two years. No one will give a thin dime to sign him. THIS IS IT.

I'm sure Ballard has probably said similar things in different interviews - but recently, VeveJones007 posted a snippet from a Holder podcast which stated that the team was ahead of his initial schedule. I linked the post below:
