Idiots. Two off seasons ago they all thought signing the likes of Gore & washed up fucks like Andre Johnson and Trent Cole mean't Colts would win a Super Bowl. Most Colt fans who new anything didn't think that was going to happen with the state of the O-Line and the questions on defense. Now the Colts have the worst roster in 10 years? Stupid.

I don't know if they're the worst team, but here are some facts

1. The team is currently playing without their best players on either side of the ball

2. The team has no depth, so when players get hurt, the replacements are sub NFL quality

3. The coaching absolutely sucks.

seems like a fair assessment. I would love to know why the Colts seem to be the most injury prone team in the league, especially the DBs !! Same thing happened last year, just couldn't stay healthy.

Let me ramble on some, the Giants are 0-2 WITH Manning, the Chargers are 0-2 WITH Rivers, the Saints are 0-2 WITH Brees, the Bengals are 0-2 WITH Dalton, the Jets, Browns, and Bears are all 0-2 with QBs that are less than stellar. The ONLY reason that talking heads say the Colts are the worst team in the league is because they don't know shit about the Colts, and its easy to pile on !! The Giants and Saints offensive lines are much worse than the Colts, and would anyone in their right mind pick the Jets, Browns, or Bears QB over a healthy Luck?? When the Colts get healthy, I think that they will be able to play with anybody, but will the season be over by then ?? Now, if the question was, do the Colts have the worst coaching staff in the league...........................

Florio was on one of the drive time shows yesterday evening, can't remember which one. He was raging about how bad it is here right now. He was saying that even healthy this team has two players- Luck and Hilton and then went on a quick slide about how really TY might not even be in that conversation when you look at his pedestrian #s without Luck- which he rightfully used to throw a wet blanket on all those people like Skip Bayless that say Luck isn't really all that...

He was really agitated regarding the sad state of the OL- decried the fact that we have gone 5 years without putting a line around him (and he did give credit for the drafting of Kelly but said "that's one, one OL for this guy in 5 years"... He said many of the same things we say on here- but then went further....

He went way down a path about how he believes Luck is wired and said he does not believe Luck to be this way (pressing the team to move him) but he said in his view things are so bad here right now (emphasis being on SOOOO bad) that Oliver may be holding sway with the organization. He made some great points about how behind the scenes Andrew may be getting coaching to protect his career and could be telling the doctors he is not going to throw a single pass (in practice) until they say there is zero risk to his shoulder and by doing so - places the team in a no-win situation while also not putting Luck out there as a problem child. He went this direction based on the fact the team will not even put any type of comment out there, either enthusiastic (we anticipate him practicing next week) or negative (the doctors think he needs at least a couple more weeks of rehab). He point out there is zero comment from any source relative to him at least nearing practice level- and to him this is a tell there is more here than just him still needing time to mend.
This would be in line with some of the just straight bizarre comments from Chuck about Luck's status while also sort of giving some rationale for neither Ballard nor Irsay really saying shit about all this over the last few weeks. He's giving credence to the 4 inches between the ears comment by Irsay.

In consideration of all of this, and looking at the roster, man there really is not much here right now. TY does appear to be a non-factor without Luck. Sure Kelly looked good last year but he's 1 year in- certainly not a sure fire 10 year all-pro that you can put a check next to as a "player". VD- well shit, we're all chomping at the bit for his return but if we get the VD from last year- he's what a top 10 CB that played an entire season as a bottom 1/3 of the league CB? Gore- once great player, nothing left. Castanzo- dude that guy took the money and ran! What else do we have? Darius Butler - is he a "player"? Moncrief- shit at this rate he'll be looking to sign a min vet contract next year on the street. Jack Doyle? Hey great for Jack to be playing at this level and filling a role nicely, 3 years from now Jack Doyle will likely be a backup on another team. We have a rookie Safety that everyone raves about- he's 2 games into his career and we have a rookie CB that shows promise, but he also has been the CB on a number of TD throws so far in his career- and of course, he's hurt (what's new). So, what do we have going for us really???????

It's sad that so many of us seem willing to say things like "get a healthy Luck back and we can compete for the playoffs" but we concede that without him we at least vie for the actual worst team in the NFL. It speaks volumes that at the end of the day we have done NOTHING to make this a better team besides draft a QB since the year Peyton couldn't play. We've replaced coaches, GM's, and obviously an enormous number of players. There's one thing that remained a constant during all this- and that's the man at the top.

It sucks because not that long ago it seemed like he realized we pissed away much of the Manning magic by trying to do nothing but score score score and was committed to trying to build a more balanced team. We were all excited to see this defensive coach come in again, talk about building a monster, getting some old but tough guys in here like Redding... but somewhere it seems he fell right back into the trap of trying to build a team completely tied to a star QB and nothing else. Lose that star and everything else is really pretty much shit.

Are we the worst in the league right now- I think by late Sunday we'll have that answer. As far as the worst roster in the last 10 years, minus Luck being on the field, I'm not sure I have a good way to argue against that statement.

Of the teams you mentioned, right now, which of these teams do you think would be underdogs in the point spread if they were playing the Colts?

with Luck, all of them, if an even playing field, them not having their starting QB, all of them. Which one is light years ahead of the Colts?? The only disadvantage the Colts have is Pagano.
