I would be interested in Allen as TE3 if we don't fill that spot via the draft. He played great early on and with Reich as his coach...

Ian Rapoport
Source: The #Cowboys are franchise tagging star pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence.

There goes that, not that it was ever a real possibility.

I do think he's likely to be irate over being tagged, I also don't think it's likely that Ballard will pay the bounty in draft picks the Cowboys would be demanding.

They probably just tagged him while they work on a contract.

I think we all knew getting a pass rusher in free agency was going to be highly unlikely. Maybe they take a shot at Trey Flowers although I would imagine he follows Brian Flores in Miami.

Miami has some cap issues, but I'm sure there are ways they could make some room. Regardless, Flowers will be in high demand, likely taking his price range outside Ballard's comfort zone.

Not surprising. Kansas City is trying to get their roster in order for next offseason when they try to extend Patrick Mahomes. They are talking about making him the highest paid QB with the extension.

Looks like Ballard will be sitting on a big pile of money next year as well.
