I can't wait to see what happens this season, if we have a season.
Rivers is a DICK on the field. Not in real life. I can live with him pissing the other team off. He's pissed me off for years so he owes me some great play

Same. I'm warming up to the idea.

I just listened to the JMV interview with Phillip Rivers and, despite the past, I'm sold and I'm anxious to see what we can do this season...if we have one. Rivers sounds like a leader. His interview sounds like Peyton used to sound (but obviously he's not Peyton). I hope we can have a chance to watch.

The thing is he doesnt have to be Peyton was not Peyton the final year Broncos won the SB.... if Ballard puts the right team around Rivers, he is good enough to do the same.

The interview sounded like Peyton; excited about playing football and somewhat rambling on about plays from 10+ years ago and just sounding like a leader and a NFL starting quarterback. Not defensive/standoffish like JB or wishy-washy, aloof, mysterious or just odd goofball like Luck. It's on the JMV podcast if you want to hear it.
He will need people to throw the ball to. Our current WR group is bottom half of the league. Also need another TE

I'm believing Ballard adds a few WRs.... through draft and free agency.

Also the WR group wasnt much different from the group that Luck had the previous year. So the group will improve already with Rivers throwing.

Even at his best Brissett just isnt good enough. I dont care how good the receivers you put around him.

He and Luck were comparable in 18. He was a lot better than Luck in 19
