I will say that 11 wasn’t this depressing because I felt like towards the end of that season, the team did establish some flow. They ended better than they started, and I still remember Wayne’s game winner vs Houston and Brown’s 80 yarder vs Tennessee. It was a lame year but it finished better than it started.

This year is the first year I ever remember just wanting it to end. I didn’t want an L to end it, and I was rooting for Saturday, but thank the universe, god, Christ, whatever - I’m thankful it’s over.
On top of the '11 team getting better and not quitting like this team did, we all knew the Colts were going to be really bad when Peyton wasn't a go for the season. So when the team started out horrible it was as expected. This year it was a complete shock.

The 2010 also stands out for me. They went 10-6 and won the division... but I just remember having such high hopes going into that year. I think because we didn't have a whole lot of turnover from the '09 team which for all intents and purposes was an undefeated squad that lost in the SB.

But I just remember that season being fucked by the injury bug all year. Clark, Collie, Addai, Gonzalez, and seemingly everyone on D except Freeney, Mathis, and Bethea.

And feeling like Peyton Manning was having to shoulder a huge load (679 attempts) throwing to guys like Blair White. Barely losing to PHI and NE stand out in particular.

And obviously losing to the shit-ass Jets in the playoffs was the cherry on top. Yuck.

I think we are all discounting 05. Most dominant team and the worst way to end it on so many levels.

Arguably the most disappointing post season, but I don't really think you can say a team that finished 14-2 had a disappointing season when compared to one that finished 4-12-1.

The ratio of where we expected to be : to where we ended up, is probably the worst.

Not sure which one you're saying is worse, but it has to be this year:

'05: Expected to win the Superbowl. Ended up losing in the division round after a 14-2 season and 3rd straight AFC South title.

'22: Expected to win the division and compete in the playoffs. Ended up winning 4 games with the 4th worst record in the league.

Same page. Everyone had us taking the division, like 11-12 wins, top 10 SB odds... And... Holy shit did that not happen.

Those 2000's seasons where we came up short, it was a game or two

i agree hoops

this is the worst season i have seen as a fan

i thought this team would be really good. not a super bowl team but easily a playoff team.

seeing a good coach like Reich lose the team sucked. seeing that we truly have no leaders on the team sucked. clearly seeing this team had zero fight or pride sucked. being the laughingstock of the entire league for a large number of reasons sucked.

this was an atrocious season and i am glad it is over.

After this year, I have no choice to make a every year a "prove it to me" type of outlook. I was optimistic for this season.

Fool me once...
