I'm actually surprised as hard as these guys get hit that it doesn't happen more in the league. A hard hit to the lateral lower back is all it takes.

But yeah I really don't recall another player in the NFL being diagnosed with it recently.

About the only silver lining is that he did not injure any of his ligaments, tendons, muscles or bones. His ability to stay in shape, work out and be football ready for next season is pretty unimpaired.

A small silver lining in that while on IR for this season, this should not impact him next season at all except to perhaps add the rib protection package to his shoulder pads.

But for 2018? Yeah, this sucks.

For all I have heard about Jack Doyle and the few interviews I have seen, he seems like the kind of guy that is the most pissed about ending a season on IR.

Quality player, looking for Hewitt to step up, but I would imagine we will also look to grab a TE as well.

That's a tough injury. Let's hope for a full recovery.

Dude, bumping this thread for an update during the off-season makes it look like he is out for the upcoming season. This is worse than clickbait.

I disagree. This is much better than getting Rick Rolled.

Only if you don't bother to see that it's the 3rd page of the thread, and that the OP was started in November.

Well first, it is not the third page, as I get 40 posts per page, Further, 25 posts in easily done in a day. Also, the thread does not say when it started until you click on it, not on the list. And last, but not least, three people so far have agreed with me.

Yes, I agree I thought after his surgery he was done for the year. I am ok with bumping an old post when warranted but some like this is B.S.

Note: I have started looking to see who last poster is …
