Falcons placed franchise tag on DT Grady Jarrett, per source.

I don't think the Colts will be in Houston's market for several reasons:

1) He's already 30.
2) Injury history the last few years.
3) Can he play DE in a 4-3?

I expect the 49ers or Jets to sign Houston.

The #Giants are viewed as unlikely to franchise tag safety Landon Collins, sources tell @KimJonesSports and me. They love the player but view the tag number as too high. If this holds, he’s expected to be free.
I would hate to be a Giants fan. Gettleman is killing that franchise.

I expect Ballard to be involved in the bidding, but I could see it going outside his comfort zone.

They did hand Johnathan Hankins stupid money so I do wonder if the perception that they're thrifty might be a bit overblown.

Then again, that could've solidified Ballard's current approach and made him that much more unlikely to make an exception going forward.

3/$27MM isn't "stupid money." Collins is probably going to command at least 5/$60MM with a lot more in guarantees.

He seems to have a strangely robust market for some reason:

The Patriots want to re-sign tight end Dwayne Allen to a lower salary, but they may never get that chance.

Not long after the Patriots made the release of Allen official, four teams lined up visits with Allen for later this week, a source told PFT.

Allen, 29, played 13 games, with eight starts, and made only three catches for 27 yards in 2018. In two seasons with New England, Allen made 13 catches for 113 yards and a touchdown.

But he was a salary-cap casualty, with his release saving the Patriots $7.3 million on their 2019 cap.

Since all the good pass rushers got tagged, does anyone think there's a chance the Colts could go after Anthony Barr as a DE? He was supposed to be a really good pass rusher, but the Vikings chose to use him as an off the ball LB. He has all the traits the Colts look for in a pass rushing DE, mostly he's long and fast, and in the worst case scenario, you could just line him up next to Leonard at LB. Thoughts?
