Very sad day! His daughter was on that helicopter and was only 13. So sad. He was one of the Greats.

They were going to his daughters game at a sports academy thats 2 miles from my house. There are people flooding the area. Non stop news coverage.

Damn sorry to hear this. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family and friends. They also go out to the other people's family and friends who parished in that helicopter. I understand there was a total of 9 people.

It's truly a sad day.

Sad day. Some other people too. A basketball coach and his family. Kobe just had a little girl last summer I believe.

Sad situation and it's bummed me out since I heard about it yesterday. I stopped watching the NBA years ago, but I always liked Kobe. Top 10, maybe top 5 player all time. Talented, famous people need to stop flying in helicopters and small planes. Kobe, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Holly, Patsy Cline, and so on. RIP
