I wasn't able to get home in time to find a good stream to watch most of the game in its entirety. All I had was Redzone to rely on. I know Luck's numbers looked like shit, but based on what I saw, he also had very catchable redzone passes dropped 2-3 times. We could've/should've won that game if Rogers and/or Ebron had held on to well thrown, very catchable balls.

Also, again, what the damn hell were we thinking throwing a fade on 3rd and 3 in the most crucial moment of the game to a 5'8", 180 pound receivers. Fades, if you're going to be stupid to ever thrown one period, should only be reserved for receivers 6'3" and taller AND 200+ pounds.

Agreed.

Nothing to see here.

The combination of Brissett having a cannon of an arm AND Luck still having recently come off of shoulder surgery which caused him to miss missing more than a full year of games (and subsequent rehab and recovery) made Reich's decision of putting Brissett in for the final Hail Mary play a no-brainer.

It wasn't a matter of Luck not being able to do it if he had to, it was a matter of it not being worth the risk of straining his shoulder when you have a guy on the bench who can easily throw the ball a good 70 yards-plus.

If only Rogers had held onto that TD toss.

The D was on the field for 40 minutes. Led by Geathers, Hunt and Leonard, they played really well, especially if you take away that first drive.

Peyton wouldn’t have come out in that retarded personnel grouping in the first place on the fourth down.

I didn’t see luck having a command over the offense and game plan like Wentz did today, and I’m getting tired of everyone making an excuse for him.

I don’t understand. How does wentz have more command over the offense than Luck?

Ebron had a TD right in his hands too.

Let's assume this is true. Today was Wentz's 30th game in his current system. Today was Luck's 3rd game in this system. Also, Luck missed an entire season before this. So, not only does he have a ton of rust to knock off, he's learning a new coach's system in the process.

My initial perception is that Wentz is making more adjustments and making more level headed plays than Luck. Wentz was checking out of shit constantly; making those throws in tight windows that elite quarterbacks do. Maybe I didn’t hear Luck’s checks through the beer? I did see some over throws and a couple of balls that should have been picked.

Wayne’s statement has merit. I just don’t understand why we come out in a heavy formation like that on 4th down instead of spreading the field and trying to open things up. I guess I’m frustrated about that and the entire offensive performance as a whole.

Perhaps that’s on Reich. I’m just starting to question whether Luck has essentially hit his ceiling, but I’m encouraged that the team looks stronger.
