The 49ers will be around but they’ve got $20M+ invested in Garoppolo for next year. The Broncos are a possibility but Lock was a 2019 draft pick. I doubt the Lions trade him to the Bears within the division. The Washington Football Team and the Panthers do represent some competition. Wouldn’t be surprised if we saw the losers of the Watson sweepstakes (Dolphins/Jets) get involved and I suppose you can’t rule out the Texans after they’d deal Watson. Still, one would think that since this is supposedly an amicable split that the Lions would want to do right by him and the Colts seem to be the best situation listed. |

sure, why not. I would rather 1 and 3. Maybe 1 and 2 in split years.

Are there any realistic options other than Safford? By realistic I mean a starting caliber NFL qb that has more than a prayer to lead a team deep into the playoffs. If not, other teams will be in on him hard. Ballard may have to pay more than he wants. He should. Our situation is not good at all right now. If we want to take the next step it is imperative to get a qb.

Here's a salary cap tracker for all teams, which I think needs to be considered in the conversation of which teams are most likely to trade for Stafford:
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cap/2021/ Many of the teams mentioned as potential trade partners are going to have challenges to fit him under the cap. Also, here's are article from Touchdown Wire outlining the reasons why they think Stafford would be bargain for any acquiring team: https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/l...p-quarterback/ Lastly, I don't see any info to suggest that Stafford has a no trade clause in this contract, but if he does that could affect things as well, and may force an acquiring team to renegotiate his salary or extend him. |

I wouldn't play games with the Lions, Stafford is better than Rivers. If we had Stafford, we would have beat the Bills. We would be scary ass good with him. I only know about Stafford so much because my son in law is a Lions fan, so I watched a lot of Lion's games. My biggest fear is the 49ers may end up with him. Personally, I would give the Lions 2 first round picks and maybe a 3rd. You don't get franchise QB's off of the fucking street. Sign free agents to fill in the other holes.

I won't check out because I have been a lifetime Colts fan, but yeah, rolling with Brissett would be a fucking disaster. I like his attitude, but he really does suck as a starting QB. Can you see JB as a winning SB QB, I sure as hell don't.

He will be 33 in a couple months and he has never won a playoff game. 1 and a 2 seems high. Also don’t forget New Orleans and Carolina.
