The Jets sure do like to trade with us since Ballard arrived. They've done pretty well in those trades too. Not saying we haven't done well also, only that the I'm sure the Jets are satisfied with the outcomes.

I would say it is more a function of Rex Hogan. He worked for the Jets - then the Colts (Ballard brought him to Indy) - and is now with the Jets again. |

Everybody wis. Hairston goes where hes wanted. Colts get a pick. Jets get help where they needed.
Ballard is amazing. |

Maybe teams just wait for us to cut them at this point, though.

That’s the right place to look, but I don’t think someone’s giving a pick for a guy like Travis or Pascal/Johnson. Perhaps Rogers could’ve gotten a pick if Fountain hadn’t gotten hurt.

But if you can go get a guy you like and you don't want to get into a bidding war, if you go get him for a reasonable price/draft pick, why not?

Apparently, there was more than one condition. The Colts are returning the 6th round pick back to the Jets. This is sort of odd - usually there are two picks involved......like conditional 6th but if conditions aren't met, then it is a 7th substituted instead. From the Jets beat writer, it appears the Colts traded Hairston for nothing. Maybe things are more complicated because the Jets don't have a 7th round pick currently.....and the Colts said don't worry about it. https://nypost.com/2020/02/20/jets-h...ially-thought/ https://twitter.com/JoelAErickson/st...13781355700225 Quote:

Eh - I'm not that high on Gase as a head coach.....he always seems to do weird things with his roster decisions. |
