Default Everson Griffen

Cowboys place pass rusher Everson Griffen on trade block.
Worth offering a 5th round pick?

Absolutely, but it won't happen.

A 7th, a 5th is too high for half a season. And Turay should come back in two weeks.

Makes sense for Dallas with the emergence of Aldon Smith (who I wanted to sign for years) and presence of DeMarcus Lawrence. What would Griffen give the Colts that they don't get from Autry, Muhammad, Lewis, et al? I think at this point, Griffen is more or less an older Autry, so it doesn't make much sense to give up value for him.

Personally, I'm not a fan of bringing in older players on the downside of their careers. It works out every once in a while, but it seems to me that it usually doesn't. I'd prefer to let our younger guys play and develop.

If they wanted a pass rusher they should have signed David Irving and gave up zero draft picks

Lions acquired DE Everson Griffen from the Cowboys in exchange for a conditional 2021 sixth-round pick.

He can’t play this week so we don’t have to deal with him

6th rounder... good but not perfect foresight, Smitty.

And Chrome said a 7th.

What have we learned? When the two of them disagree, split the difference.
