5 years in, those mechanical issues should not still be an issue.

These guys have an interesting take on this whole Wentz thing. They think Chicago makes no sense whatsoever for Wentz. Feel like Ballard knows this and won't be pushed into overpaying for him. Interesting take.

Every QB has a break down in mechanics and they must keep working on them. You have to keep practicing to keep them sharp. Like a muscle you keep exercising. But those are pretty bad. You could blame the lack of off season. But you can work on your throw anytime without involving anyone.

I'm betting that Mac Jones is a bust. Alabama QB's don't do shit in the NFL. Look at Tua, and all the prior Alabama QB's. Everything is so perfect for them at Alabama, not the same in the NFL. The only QB I am almost certain will be really good in this years draft is Lawrence.

Joe Namath is the most overrated QB in NFL history. Just look at his numbers ffs. He's all swag and a fur coat.

If you think that, then you haven't watched his tape. You can dock him if you'd like for having all the talent around him, but then you have to explain why every coach also thought he was the best QB at the Senior Bowl and had nothing but positive to say about him. Watch him vs. Georgia if you want an example of him succeeding under adverse conditions. He doesn't have clean pockets all night and college open receivers on every play in that game. Very early in the game, he gets drilled by Ojulari, who is a free rusher on the play, but manages to step into a deep shot on a post to Waddle who takes it 90+ yards to the house. Several other times he steps up into collapsing pockets and takes shots to deliver throws where and when they need to be. The anticipation and processing speed with which he works is elite.

Also, I don't think people who think Lawrence is can't miss have watched his tape, either. He certainly has the physical tools to potentially be the best QB in the NFL for a long period of time, but don't let anyone fool you into believing there isn't a bust floor there. He's going to have to get much better at reading defenses in the NFL and throwing with anticipation if he wants to succeed in the NFL and have a long career that isn't cut short by injuries from excessive running.

Totally agree, if not for his SB win against the Colts he wouldn't be in the hall of fame. His numbers are pathetic.

Well, we will just have to disagree Dam. Time will tell.

At least he represents the Jets with class and respectability in his old age.
