To be fair Latu was obviously very productive in college, looks to be athletic enough, and also looks to be the most NFL ready of the DEs.
Latu is the opposite of Paye, he was productive and disruptive in college, had a lot of sacks and a lot of pressures, and if you watch the film you can easily see why.

I love the pick, still can’t believe they had their choice of defensive player at 15 that’s crazy to me

And Paye was probably Ballard's best pick at DE. At least up until hopefully now.

Yes. Latu is Bradley's LEO, Paye is his Big End.

And he still has Ebukam.

Hate to see the Jagoffs get him, and they picked up 3 more draft picks to boot

Hopefully he's as one-dimensional as some people fear. I do think they could've done better... there's still some guys available that I'm very surprised about.

Guessing Ebukam might be moving to Big End, especially if we don't exercise Paye's 5th year option.

Lots of good players for tomorrow. Imagine getting someone like Dejuan tomorrow when I wouldn't have been furious with him today (granted, I would have with the same board, but still).

Ballard indicated that the Colts tried to move up from Pick 15. He said of the teams they contacted, no one wanted to move back to 15.

I do think it was telling that there was only one trade before the Colts selection at 15...with the Jets moving back one spot from 10 to 11. Reportedly there were more teams than just the Colts trying to move up.

Ballard says the Colts tried to move up with some big offers, couldn't find anybody willing to go down to 15.
