Granted he isn’t great but he is ok.
I've always liked him. He plays fearless.

Honestly, my main thought with Geathers + health is that I just hope he and his doctors (and I hope he has consults beyond IND) are REALLY on top of his injury. He's a tough MF just playing at all after that neck injury. I just don't want him to have long-term consequences. Would be a big drop-off without him, but I'm just more concerned with his health than any other player's.

Geathers has played in 40 out of 64 games. Missing most the last two seasons. He is above average but I wouldn't say lights out in that John Lynch role in this D. Isn't his contract up this year? Going to have to decide what to do with him. It is not a great draft for secondary players coming up. Landon Collins will be a free agent, if the Giants are stupid enough to let him go. You know, the guy we should have drafted a few years ago.

Had to watch the game last night. Only other thing that stuck out to me was the difference in tackle play between the first and second games against Houston. Castonzo and Smith are a monumental improvement over what Luck had the first month of the season.

Braden Smith vs. JJ Twatt was a sight to behold. Nelson gets all the press (deservedly, though I think he was given a little too much credit for the overall OL turnaround and we're seeing the effect of losing Kelly) but Smith has played far above expectations at RT.

First game would've been Webb and Clark at tackle, I think?

Yeah, I think that was it. The tackles got killed in the first half, which dug the team a pretty big hole.

TY always seems to have career games againt the texans, they must hate seeing him.

I hate how our D will get a big sack and the opponent will gain 20 yards on the following play. usually off of a screen or something. maybe this happens to other teams as well, but it seems to happen to us a lot.

and it seems like ebron can only catch the ball if its in the redzone, whats up with that?

The reason for his 2 drops yesterday seemed to be him turning up field before the ball got to him and expecting a hit. Just need to have better concentration, secure the catch and then push for the first.

That literally happened to the Texans yesterday. 1st and 10, Watt gets a sack to make it 2nd and 18, then Luck finds Hilton for 25+.

I think there was one to Rogers as well. Not that far, but a 3rd and long and Luck threw a WR screen to Rogers he runs for a first down.

And they did it twice to us as well

Twice on 2nd/3rd and 20 or so they threw screens for first downs.

Fans and I am sure defensive coaches as well just hate that.

Also did everyone notice how Luck had a WR screen or screen knocked down early at the line, then later in the game, twice, he adjusted on similar plays. one of them was the Rogers screen for a first down. Threw the ball under/around the defenders jumping arms for the completion?
