Dungy chimes in on Twitter:

Haven’t read the article but I can tell you there is NO excuse big enough to justify this. It’s one thing to go back on your word to an organization. But having assistant coaches leave jobs to go with you then leave them out to dry is indefensible. For COMFORT??

I was hoping we'd hear something like this from Dungy. His word does seem to carry some weight around the league still.

For me Ballard's judgement takes a hit with this, too. Don't like saying it. He got played. Not good to look like a sucker and it's hard to argue against. It's one thing for fans to buy into the McPigfucker hype. A big part of it for me though was trusting Ballard to make a good decision. I'm disappointed that Ballard didn't see through this human piece of shit.
I agree with the first part, but not the ballard part.

Sounds like ballard did his due diligence in interviewing multiple people, honing in on one who everyone said had matured since his last try. Would have been a great fit for our offense. Multiple interviews, had already hired people on his staff, etc. McD was influenced by kraft and BB at the last hour and shit on everyone else.

The fact that he already uprooted families then claimed stability for his own as a reason is even more BS than just fucking over our HC search/hire process.

Fuck Robert Kraft.
I don't want him fired or anything. I hope he learns from it. McFuckhead is a backstabbing SOB, yes. And, I think Ballard should've seen it rather than buying what he was selling.

The Colts should send a message to the League office informing them that no member of the Patriots are welcome at Lucas Oil for the combine, but they would be glad to do something that the Pats should welcome, THEY WILL TAPE IT, and send them a copy.

Unfortunately the Colts don't own Lucas Oil Stadium and don't have that kind of say in what goes on in there, outside of game days.

Looks like McDaniel's agent doesn't care for the prick either.

He did ask Brissett for insight into what McDaniels was like and he shared an agent, so he assuredly thought he had a grasp on what McDaniels' character is/was.

Very clearly, McDaniels fooled a lot of people.

fooled isnt the right word to use. that implies he intended to screw us.

I believe that mcd was in on coming here. However, he got a last minute pitch that he liked better, which is fine. The problem is that he had already committed here (without actually signing yet) and didnt honor that commitment.

lack of integrity is more correct.

He absolutely had to fire McDaniels as a client. You can't negotiate contracts for other coaches/GMs and have that stain on you as an agent.
