Hopefully this means JT is backing now, but I'm guessing it's him trying to send the message to other teams that he's not damaged goods.

JT (or those acting on his behalf) put him in a very bad spot. If he was worth the $16M, someone would have paid him, not to mention the money that team would have had to pay to the colts.
I think the rookie contract structure for running backs is not entirely fair, given the short lived nature of the position, but 4.3 million is still some decent money. Ballard has his faults, but I like hearing him say something like, "we won four game last year." JT was there for two of them. Not sure how you count the tie.

if jt was healthy all along, which i assume he was, he kind of fucked himself here.
if he truly wants to be traded, he could have improved his stock by showing he was healthy as balling out to start the season. the kid got some very bad advice |
