Couple of things:

* He's rebooting with an entire new system, based on timing. You can see it when he gets about a count of three after the snap. He has used his checkdowns better in the two games, than what ever the **** the old system used.

* He still has some bad habits. If he's still doing the stare down at the end of this season, then I'll be concerned.

* It might be play design. When Holmgren was in SF, they were doing a play assessment at the end of the year, and most of Montana's INT's were on the same play. A play he really liked. What ever the reason, he couldn't execute it. They threw it out, and his INTS drop in half. Twice now, they had two bad INTS in the red zone. They may need another approach.

Agree on #1, and would say that last year the other three guys would likely be down the field. While I am critical of Luck here, the fact that he DID have three other options speaks a lot about our change of direction as a team.

Your other two points I think tie in with the first. Luck is learning again, Reich is learning again.

luck has always used a safety blanket wr so to speak. 1st it was reggie and then ty and then doyle and ty. i just don't see him ever really not going to his guy at times.

luck is going to throw dumb picks. i am ok with it as long as it isn't out of hand like multiple a game. i want him to think he can make any throw.
