If it’s a ligament
I know that it’s been reported that Wentz will be seeing Dr Anderson for an opinion on his foot; but it’s possible that the consultation was done by phone after Anderson looked at the Mri…Especially if the injury wasn’t major.
First of all, there are over 30 ligaments in the foot, and it’s impossible to know which one might be involved. That having been said, there are 3 grades of tears, which are more commonly known as sprains. Grade 1 strains involve small tears in the ligament. It’s not considered a significant injury and treatment usually consists of rest. They usually resolve themselves within a few weeks without the need for surgery Grade 2 strains are more extensive and require a more intensive course of treatment. The foot is usually put in a cast or splint, and take up to 8 weeks to heal. Grade 3 is a complete tear. Pain at the time of injury is severe, and surgery is just about the only option. |

Well he's getting surgery, so if it is a ligament, it's a Grade 3. Out 5 to 12 weeks. Probably closer to the latter than the former. I hope they make no further trades, I wanna see what the kid has. If he can't show anything, stop wasting time with him. Back before we made the move, I was hoping to get Darnold. I hope I was dead wrong on that. Best case scenario, Eason surprises and is effective. Wentz returns after we've played 6 games and have a record of 3 and 3 and proceeds to lead the team to the playoffs. We keep our #1 draft pick because Wentz failed to play 70% of the season. And since this is purely fantasy, the Colts win the Lombardi.
