Default Kollman extensive breakdown of ‘22 Colts

Pretty glowing reviews of the Colts and their off-season.

I like this guy. He's one of the rare guys that covers the entire league and is fairly accurate and knowledgeable as opposed to the plethora of guys that seem to just parrot headlines and talking points.

He's down here in/near Houston so unsurprisingly a Texans fan. But from what I've seen from him, he's always had a healthy distain yet respect for the Colts (32-9 vs. them afterall).

They did long episodes on the AFC South team-by-team this week and finished up with an overall/prediction episode. Good content. They have the Colts and Titans with a similar floor/ceiling, but they seem much more confident that the Colts reach their ceiling and win the division, threaten for the #1 seed, and reach the Super Bowl.

Pretty glowing as Chrome said.

CJ Verdell being the Colts RB5 is pretty insane. Watch some college highlights of him. If he stays healthy, he's going to earn playing time sooner rather than later.

That was a really good listen. They seem pretty knowledgeable and the fact that they're not Colts fans made how impressed they were with the Colts seem genuinely objective.

A couple of comments on their critique:

- I don't think we're in the dire situation at CB2 like they seemed to think we are. It's definitely a question mark, but Facyson played quite a bit last year in Bradley's scheme and from a physical standpoint fits the mold for the scheme. Also, Rodgers showed quite a bit of promise last year. It could definitely be a weak spot, but I think they were too down on these guys.

- They didn't bring up the fact that Wentz had a lot to do w/ MAC's touches being down and the big gap between MPJ and our #2 reciever as Wentz (especially late in the year) stared down Wentz and passed over open other receivers to force throws into MPJ.

Other than that it was a good listen. If I have the time I'll listen to their overall AFC Sough predictions here in the next couple of days.

The reason they think the Colts are in bad shape at CB2 is because they know nothing about Isaiah Rodgers, which was apparent in the video. He's been solid at CB2 when he's gotten opportunities, and obviously showed enough to make Ballard confident enough to trade away Rock Ya-Sin, who finally started to look like he was emerging as a solid boundary CB. Between Rodgers and Facyson, they should get decent enough play at CB2 to not make it an issue.

If there is one area of the team that I am concerned about, it is the secondary.

While the is talent there, I just don't know if it will jell.

A decent pass rush would go a long way in helping them jell
