Zach Wilson
Is he someone you guys would be interested in bringing into the Colts if the price were not too steep? I really liked his tape coming out of BYU. But he does appear to have taken no responsibility for the poor offensive showings from the Jets this year. And now he has been benched and will be inactive this week. Have the Jets completely given up on him, who knows? Maybe this is a wake up call to him.
I would give up a 4th or 3rd rounder to be able to see what he might be able to bring to the Colts. Could hit gold potentially. |

No way should we be trying to rehab guys who have been shit elsewhere. Not another Carson Wentz. And no more old veterans either.

He's only 23, so yes on that part. It also depends on what we have to give up for him and what his wage demands are. The biggest problem for me is that I don't think we have the coaching needed to further develop him, and the overall structure of the organization isn't a good fit for a young QB of his type. There's too much chaos here right now, and I think it's going to get worse. Then Ballard and probably Dodds will leave. Wilson would probably be smart to avoid the Colts.

Rehabbing a physical injury is possible. Fixing whats wrong in this kids head is a long shot. Watching the post game interview, his attitude is the problem. The QB is always to blame in the NFL, even if its bullshit. Ever hear Manning blame someone else? Never heard him blame the D, even when everybody knew the D shit the bed.
No on this guy. The Kelly kid who just won the Grey Cup. Lots of physical talent, 5 and dime head. |

No thanks. Fixing mechanical issues is easier than fixing the issues that are between the 8 inches that separate his ears.

I don't know if anything tops when Jim Caldwell said that he would do it all over again when asked about the incredibly stupid timeout that he had called against the Jets in a 2010 playoff game. Watch the whole 51-second video and check out Peyton Manning's reaction, especially at the end when he puts his arms in the air, as if to say l "Coach, what the fuck did you just do ???" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOcZhoZoWOE o

There was a solid piece on him on some AM show yesterday. Comparisons we're being drawn on what he really looks like and where he could end up.
Various names were thrown around, basically all guys that could manage a game and win behind a stout defense and that was their accepted role. Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and even Flacco (ironically given he is the current back up) were brought up as guys who knew they had limitations but were mentally stout and accepted their weakness and were fine being sort of role players on winning teams. None of the analysts thought he had that kind of temperament. So strike that, that sounds very similar to Wentz. Then they started comparing him to some modern guys that started slow but have emerged as really solid QB's. Ultimately they gravitated to a comparison to Derek Carr. At that point someone pointed out Carr had 53 TD's to Wilson's 13 in the same span to start a career. No, this guy is not any good and given his demeanor, he is never going to be good. He could very easily be Josh Rosen V2.0. |

That’s 2 quarterbacks drafted in the top three in the last 5 years and they’re both busts.
As bad as we are, we’re never as pathetic as the Jets. |
