Playoffs?
Of course we shouldn't talk about it playoffs. Playoffs? Are you kidding? Playoffs?
Anyway, here's at least one way we're in, and I tried to base this on realistic outcomes not fantasy-land outcomes like having the Steelers losing to the Jets or Colts beating the Saints or any silliness like that: Week 14: Pats beat Chiefs (not sure how critical this is but I plugged it into the simulator like this) Texans beat Broncos (again, not critical, but likely to happen) These are critical Ravens beat Bills Titans beat Raiders (surprising but we need Raiders losses) Colts beat Buccs (obviously) Week 15 Pats will likely beat Bengals Chiefs will likely beat Denver Ravens will likely beat Jets Raiders will likely beat Jaguars Colts will likely LOSE to Saints Thus we need the following to happen: Bills must defeat Steelers Texans must defeat Titans Week 16: Texans probably beat Buccs (whether they do or not is not crucial to Colts) Steelers will probably beat Jets (this hurts) Raiders will probably beat Chargers (this also hurts) Need to happen: Saints beat Titans (realistic) Patriots beat Bills (also realistic) Colts beat Panthers (if we can't do that, forget playoffs) Week 17: Bills likely beat Jets Texans must beat Tennessee again, knocking the Titans down to 8-8 - the worry here is that Houston may have the 3rd seed locked down and may rest starters. Denver must win at home vs. Raiders (a bit of a long shot) Ravens must beat the Steelers (likely) And last, Colts must win in Jacksonville. This will put the Colts in the 6th seed at 9-7, Bills 5th seed at 11-5, with Tenn, Pitt, and Oakland all out at 8-8. |

week 14, doesn't Pitt have to lose to Arizona, which they won't, so that would make them 9-7 which would eliminate the Colts based on head to head tie breaker.

The Colts are experiencing the Law of Accumulation. A lot of little things add up.
Too many of the top players have missed too many games. |

I thought that the Texans game was big, but not an absolute must-win. I thought that the Titans game WAS an absolute must-win. I'm not giving up until I see the number "7" in the L column, but that's only because I wear royal blue-shaded glasses. o

Ugh makes my mind hurt. This whole season pffft. What sucks is the pats look more human this year. We might have had a chance with Luck.

They would be an easy out for whatever team they would have faced if they had of locked up and got in.

Every playoff loss during the Luck era the winning team put at least 50 on the board.
