What panic? I merely said I don’t know if it’s concerning not ‘holy shit Ballard drafts undersized injury prone busts, 0-16, we are wasting Luck!!!’

Hypothetically, how would a GM go about preventing his draft picks from getting injured? Seems rather common throughout the league IMO

Easy: have more good draft picks. No one cares if a rotational interior DL is injured if the rest of your DL is Freeney, Mathis etc.

My take is that draft picks are luck of the draw and GMs get lucky and look fantastic for a few years bc they happen to hit on a few great players in that span ...look again five years later, and they're unnoticeable ...or out of a job. Is any team systematically "hav[ing] good draft picks"? I recall the Pats missing out on tons of picks; Brady & Belichick have covered a multitude of sins. What happened to Seattle's D? Did they all of a sudden forget how to "have good draft picks"? I'm leaning toward thinking the coach is the real difference-maker here who can make or break careers. A Big F-U to Pagano merits mention here because of a wasted season. Anxious to see what Reich does. |

Butter was a newb when I was, wasn't really talking or commenting about you to begin with. Personally I am not near as optimistic as some of these guys. I said 7 and 9 and that was a reach.
