The ESPN commentator and ex Jet GM has declared that he doesn’t like the Wentz trade. He says that, after acquiring Wentz, the Colts have the 4th best QB in the division.

That’s fine...everyone is entitled to an opinion. But, what baffles me is that, buried in his analysis, is the observation that Wentz Will be an improvement over Andrew Luck.

I don’t know about anyone else here, but if he’s right, I think its time to start booking tickets to the Super Bowl.

I am with you Brylok. I can't even watch ESPN or FS1 anymore. Dumb asses that only make us stupider. Meh, no one else really wanted him. But we were the best option for him. It’s a risk, a calculated risk. I do find it interesting all the parallels between the KC Alex Smith trade. Wentz might just be a for right now QB. Anyway, we gambled, hopefully it pats off. All these prognosticators can see the future about as easily as we can.

Not that it really matters what Tannenbaum says, but did he actually mean Rivers instead of Luck? This would actually make a lot more sense with the rest of his statement. Even if Wentz is just better than Rivers was in '20 (basically what Wentz was in '19) then the trade we end up being a very good deal for us.

If I'm reading this guy correctly he seems to be full of shit. His argument is that we have committed so much in acquiring Wentz that we are committed to him for the next decade. WTF? A one and a three makes for a 10 year commitment? Glad he isn't our GM.
