I assume that is what they are doing. Letting the kid get some run at rt. I am mainly happy they are letting Clark play lt. Haeg just can’t do it.

Howard is just a tall fat guy right now, doesn’t look like a pro athlete.

Reitz was better than Haeg.

@AWalkerColts
Out here at practice, #Colts showing a first-team offensive line of Le’Raven Clark (LT), Quenton Nelson (LG), Ryan Kelly (C), Matt Slauson (RG), Braden Smith (RT).
I think that this would be my preferred lineup based on what I saw on NFL Game Pass.

Castonzo update

Castonzo hasn’t practiced since aggravating a hamstring injury Aug. 3, and it’s anyone’s guess whether he’ll return in time to play in one of the final three preseason games.

Reich isn’t certain. Or overly concerned.

“With a guy like Castonzo, you’ve got a hamstring and you want to play it more conservative,’’ he said. “The plan is he’ll get reps and we believe he’ll get reps in the preseason. It wouldn’t concern me if he didn’t.

“It would be beneficial if he does, but it’s not the end of the world if he doesn’t.’’
https://cbs4indy.com/2018/08/11/colt...even-practice/

This is encouraging that it doesn’t sound like an injury that would keep him out of opening day.

His injury is the one I am most concerned about. By far.

Haeg hasnt been hurt as often as Rietz. It might help if they just let him work at one position

I know some people were happy with signing Howard but he was available for a reason. The dude isn’t that good.
@gmbremer
Le’Raven Clark at LT and Braden Smith at RT. Can’t remember the last time tackles started consecutive days in the same spot. #Colts

Gotta wonder if Smith might be running away with the starting RT spot.

I’ll just be glad if this proves that this coaching staff will dump a FA veteran that shows up to camp clearly washed up, as opposed to simply handing him the spot ala Todd Herremans.

I don’t know that Howard is washed up. Just might not be as good as they wanted. Smith has done so little work at rt I don’t see how he would be running away with it. Be cool if he can do it though. He has the size

I agree watching him the other night, he just looks like he has a tackles body. He needs to put on some bulk to play guard.
