The thing that stood out from being there- he seldom looked to be holding the ball beyond what he should have. He looked quick with the progression and seemed to have a good mental clock- which neither Wentz or Ryan did, that was extremely encouraging. He made some really nice throws- the final throw to Pittman, the read, the spot, in that moment, that's a big play for any QB, let alone one with all the crazy circumstance surrounding him.
Super intrigued by this Sunday. Think it is great that his second start comes on the road against arguably the greatest coach in history at destroying young QB's. If he can come out of this with a solid performance, and that is a huge IF, then I think we have plenty of reason to begin talking about him as a potential QB for a few years. If on the other hand BB sends him on a path of 3 INT's, 45% completion rate, and a 20+ loss, then we also have the benefit of knowing we should focus on losing every single damn last game of the season and look to land that top 5 pick- AND the bonus of knowing that Frank Reich is absolutely gonzers the minute the clock strikes zero on the season. So this game is really great indicator of what the future is for the Colts in the next 6-8 months.
