Quick thoughts on the jags
1). Brissett played ok. I loved the deep shots to pascal, regardless if they were complete or not. Keep putting that on film.
2). I don’t understand why we don’t use the rb’s more in the passing game. 3). As a whole the oline was a plus but they put some bad plays on tape. Ideally we can draft a rt and put smith inside. Glowinski would be a great backup. They opened up holes in the run game that even Smitty could run through. 4. Mack and this Williams kid were killing it. Just fantastic running from those 2. 5. Man we need Funchess and Hilton back. I love what are guys are trying to do but they can’t reliably be counted on. Pascal and Johnson are fine depth. 6. Keg stand celebration was great. 7. Hooker has really impressed me with his overall play. Our secondary in general is solid. Rock needs to stop being so grabby. Tell has looked solid. 8. Kenny Moore is a fucking bulldog. Kid is fun to watch 9. Lbers seem to have hit their stride. Not sure what to the problem was earlier in the season. Other than the dline was playing poorly. 10. It is surprising to me how much of a difference Sheard makes on this dline. He isn’t great but he is really good at everything. Grover has played better and Autry got some nice pressure yesterday. Ballard needs to inject more talent inside. Last edited by omahacolt; 11-18-2019 at 09:55 AM. |

Pretty much agree all around.
I suspect they held out TY so he would be ready for the more important game Thursday night, esp given it is a short week. Also I suspect Funchess will play Thursday night, though it is doubtful he will have much of an impact in his first game back. Even if he doesn't get a lot of catches, he might open things up for Pascal. I hope Mack's hand is not serious and require surgery like Campbell did. We need him down the stretch. |

Agree about Smith. Had high hopes for him after last year but speed rushers seem to give him fits. The line seems to have taken a step back in pass protection this year.

I highly doubt Funchess plays in Thursday nights game. It was reported last Thursday that he is only participating in limited drills because his bone has not fully healed yet. https://twitter.com/JoelAErickson/st...31024490692609 Quote:

I noticed that Hines was spread out quite often, and had three targets or so. I think Frank was trying to experiment with him a bit, since we were thin at WR. He had a couple of good gains out there.

I thought Williams and Marcus Johnson really stepped up and gave the offense a real boost.
Williams hits the hole hard and fast. I love that. So does my old lady. Johnson’s touchdown was a great play by him, a play I don’t think any of the other guys outside of TY make. Coming back to Jacoby and creating just enough room for him to make the throw. Great, great play by him. |

His comment last week about the bone needing to heal makes me wonder where he is even at. I have read nowhere that he has participated in full contact to date.
