Wentz has never worked with 1) Head Coach Nick Sirianni, 2) Offensive Coordinator Shane Steichen, or 3) QB Coach Brian Johnson before.

Rumor that Aaron Rodgers may ask for trade in GB.
Rumor that Russell Wilson may ask for trade in SEA. Rumor that Derek Carr may ask for trade OR BE CUT in LV. I would take any of those three veterans over Wentz. My point being is that there is zero reason to jump early at a trade. The full scope of the 2021 QB market is not yet known. We put our hat into the ring on Stafford and were outbid. No issues. If we are outbid by CHI on Wentz, no issues. I have faith in Ballard that we will end up with someone at QB that Reich wants and can work with to play high quality ball. |

@zkeefer
I don't know what the Bears will do, but if Wentz prefers Indy — which it sure seems like he does — that gives the Colts added leverage. If the Eagles are waiting for a monster offer, like the two 1s they asked for at the start, that won't come from the Colts. @LesBowen Spoke with NFL management source (not from Eagles) about the Wentz melodrama. His viewpoint: If Wentz doesn’t want the Bears, Bears aren’t gonna trade for him. Eventually the Eagles take whatever Indy is offering, maybe a second plus something. Also, Eagles draft a QB 6th overall @zkeefer While it's been quiet, Eagles and Colts have continued trade talks for Carson Wentz. One important aspect of this, I'm told, is Indy hasn't significantly changed its offer from where it started more than a week ago. For the most part, Colts aren't budging I havent been on the wentz bandwagon, but if we do end up going that route, hopefully it wont cost us too much. Ballard seems to be playing this perfectly so far and not jumping off his price |

Problem with those players Rogers and Wilson will cost multiple 1st round picks If Carr were to get cut then that would be a great option by not having to give up draft capital Getting Wentz for a second is a very good deal for the Colts IMO

Rogers or Wilson would be well worth multiple 1st round picks. They would immediately put us in superbowl contention.

My apologies. I stand corrected. I thought Riech brought Sirianni with him from philly

The more time goes on. The more pressure builds on the Eagles. Colts have leverage here. Because the Colts can walk away. Still multiple options for the Colts. Just each one has different levels of risk.
