Rondale Moore was a highly productive WR at Purdue and was drafted at 2-49. Moore had a RAS of 9.33, which is considered elite and was only knocked down by his height and weight. Bell had a RAS score of 2.92, which is considered almost undraftable. So what does that make Bell's value? https://twitter.com/MathBomb/status/1499764540065697796 The tape and the measurables have to match the production and they do not. Ballard puts a high emphasis on athletic ability. He did not test well in any area. Also he is not known for creating separation. It will be even tougher in the pros. Purdue fans want to comp him to Keenan Allen, but Allen has much higher short area burst. He is a huge gamble in such a deep class with other options. Purdue fans have blinders on when considering him. He might work out, he’s a great college player. But the pros are the best players on every team. Can he match up?

Yeah, hard to tell if that's a good or a bad thing for us lol. There's definitely similarities as both are very good athletes and are a similar size (although Walker is bigger and a better athlete), and they both underperformed in college partly b/c they were somewhat out of position and moved around a lot.
I do think that we dodged a bullet w/ the Jagoffs passing on Hutchinson. |
