Game by game here's what our D has done: HOU - +6 vs. average against all other opponents of 23. Gave up 213 yards rushing and 5.3 ypc. Bad performance. @GB - (14) vs. their only other game w/ Willis starting where they scored 30 on the Tits. So based solely on the scoreboard you would think the D played well, but we have up 261 rushing yards and allowed 86% completion rate to Willis as GB completely dominated TOP. We've seen worse, but still a bad performance. CHI - (9) vs. 25 against other opponents. Overall a decent to good performance against what was at the time a struggling Bears O. Pitt - +4 vs. 20 against other opponents w/ Fields starting. A tale of 2 halves as the D played great in the 1st and was horrible in the 2nd, 3 points allowed vs. 21. Our D also did what it does against bad QBs and turned Fields into a HOF for a half. Bad performance Jagoffs - +17 vs. 19 against all other opponents. One of the worst defensive performances in the league this season to date. Allowed almost double the Jagoffs average against other teams and also turned your boy Lawrence into a HOF for a day, giving up both career passing yards and completion % to him of 371 yards and 82%. Tits - 0 vs. 17 average. Good performance but league average against a horrendous O. MIA - 0 vs. 10 average w/ Tua not starting. Again, a good performance but league average against a historically bad O. HOU - 0 vs. 23 average. Decent day and league average. Bit of a caveat though that HOU was played w/out their WR1 and their WR2 from ~halfway through the 3rd quarter. So yeah, the D has been better these past 3 weeks. Part of that is getting healthier, but another big part is the O's we've played. We play top 7 scoring offenses 3 of the next 4 games, so we'll see if the past couple of weeks are fools gold or not. Yep. Not only did we get some decent pressure on Stroud, but the Jet's DL set up camp in the Texans' backfield.
