Default Official Game Thread: Ballards back ups vs Stealers Dream of Fields (9/29/24)

After refusing to acknowledge the secondary is actually a part of the football team in the off-season, the Colts and some former grocery bag dudes suiting up in the defensive backfield face off against a wash out QB in Justin Fields who may be the 2nd coming of Geno Smith.

I always thought Fields was better than what he showed in Chicago and he is playing with a chip for the Stealers now.

That said, AR comes to life, the Colts score 25+ and remind everyone why Fields was shipped. Russell gets PT after the Colts put Fields on the sidelines with an injury.

Colts 27
Stealers 24

Steelers will run the ball efficiently and effectively. With both Harris and Fields.

The Colts will struggle on offense unless AR has somehow remembered how to throw the ball.

The Steelers are very fundamentally sound. They have a lot of really good players and they won’t constantly beat themselves like Chicago did.

I have serious doubts about whether we can win this game.

We’ll need big games from AR, JT, Zaire Franklin, and Latu.

27-17 Steelers.

In the all-time series, the Colts have a 1-game winning streak going against the Steelers ...... so, history is on the Colts' side.

This is definitely possible but it would be quite disappointing because it would probably mean a total collapse from Richardson.

Agree it's going to be a tough day, especially w/ all of injuries on our D. But I think the game will go much more like the GB game, where Pitt runs it down our throat and controls TOP. Guessing more like 24-10 Steelers.

My dream is that the Steelers lose in heartbreaking soul crushing fashion.

That's the same score as the 1976 AFC Divisional Playoff game, at Memorial Stadium.
