Gilmore’s more than 30 years old, and he’s under contract for another year. What’s the sense of keeping him around for what will likely be a lost season, only to lose him to free agency? Trade hi, get a draft pick, and use the cap space you carve out to sign a younger piece who’ll still be in his prime in 2 years.

I don't think it is a conditional pick.

From what I saw, it is for one of the Cowboy's comp picks in this year's draft.

The Cowboys received 2 fifth round comp picks this year and apparently the Colts are receiving the later of the two - Pick 176 - according to some of the Dallas beat reporters:

Told it's pick No. 176 the Cowboys have given up the Colts for Stephon Gilmore. One of their two fifth round comp picks they received last week.

Rebuild is apparently on. We won't win many games with a rookie QB no matter who it is. Levis might be a train wreck, we'll see. I think several of the older players will split. Kenny Moore posted a "walking" image on his twitter. At least we'll be able to watch the youth develop.
