If by "trick", you mean "give up next year's 1", I suppose he could.

I’d be ok with that, otherwise we end up with trey Flowers. I’d rather have a young freak athlete for the next 5 years atleast

Ezekiel Ansah could draw some interest.

He's not as good as his 40 time. That says more about how insane it is for him to run a low 4.4 at 260 lbs than it does about his play though. He is probably the 4th or 5th best edge rusher in this class behind Nick Bosa, Josh Allen, Brian Burns, maybe Clelin Ferrell.
I wonder if Rennell Wren is an early 2nd round possibility. If Ballard puts any stock in measurables and the Next Gen combine analysis stuff, he ranked #1. |

If Dee Ford available for a second-round pick, I'd imagine the #Colts — with an extra 2, league-leading cap room and GM who drafted him — will be his new club soon. Here’s hoping! |

Chiefs are switching to a 4-3 from the 3-4 base defense they played last season. If Ford isn't a good fit there going from LB to DE, is it wise to gamble he can do it here? Perhaps Ballard has a better idea, but for one I am skeptical given the Chiefs don't seem to think so...
