Yes I saw what Kravitz tweeted about Manning. Suddenly it's gone from pure fiction to a possibility? Seemingly overnight? Interesting.

Suddenly Manning-Colts isn't fiction. It became possible almost overnight. I've been here for months. Indy media now discussing. So yeah.

Again, for what it's worth.
I hate this Jim Osborne fucker.

@BradWellsNFL
I have no update on Peyton Manning. If it doesn't happen in the next week, the timing is off or has changed. I believe it's when, not if.

The more I thought about this before the Owner's Meetings, the more I thought that it made sense to wait until after the draft (if it were going to happen). You don't want that distraction, especially with Ballard having to address the media before, during, and after the draft.

Well I will still believe it WHEN its official. Not when reported by Brad Wells rumor mill.

And it makes no sense to wait until the draft. If anything just the opposite, I would think they would want him working with the team BEFORE the draft to give his input.

He would have to be approved by an Owners vote if he were getting equity. He would be stuck in limbo until then. Plus, he hasn't done any prep on this class. He would be nothing but a distraction at this stage.

Which, if I'm Ballard, maybe I'd like Manning to give me some cover fire?

Manning taking over President role or whatever would obviously be a massive, national story. Nobody would be talking about Ballard's draft at that point. Would certainly take the pressure off him.

Yesterday on some National sports talk show, maybe Dan Patrick, they indicated that Manning was a possible Executive candidate for the LA Chargers.

The franchise Eli wanted no part of? Seems odd.
