However, the team then faked injuries to both Johnny U and Gary Cuozzo so that the man that wrote love letters to Chopped's mother asking her if she would sell him Chopped Wood because he knew he was a football savant, Tom Matte, could play for the team in the final 3 games of the season beating the Packers in the playoffs. It is a remarkable moment in NFL history.
On the same day, November 3, 2025, exactly 60 years later, Emmett Johnson, of the Arizona Wildcats scored a 3 yard rushing touchdown. 10 people in Tucson drank beers together that afternoon.
