You want a more detailed explanation? Fine.

You once said that you didn't care if the offense turned the ball over 4 times deep in their own territory ....... that if a defense gives up 34 points in a game, that is poor defense, and that's all that matters. So when it suits you to use statistics, you use them, and when it suits you to say that "statistics are for losers", then you throw them out the window and/or say that they are rarely used in proper context. In fact, your assertion about saying that a defense played poorly based on the amount of points that the opponent scored, regardless of what the surrounding circumstances are completely contradicts what you are saying now ...... if anything, you yourself tend to take statistics out of proper context.

Secondly, and more to the point of my post, what exactly about Jonathan Taylor's statistics today were taken out of context ??? My quote was specifically for today's game (vs. TITANS, 12/22.) Taylor had a great game today, and his statistics from said game don't belie that.

Taylor was never touched on either of his TD runs...or didn't you watch the game?

I watched the game.

Not getting touched and/or hit does not negate a player's effectiveness ...... in fact, Taylor's speed is part of the reason why he wasn't touched. It's not a fault of the player if he burns the defense so badly and outruns them so that they don't touch him.

Also, in addition to the 2 TD runs, Taylor had 9 runs of at least 5 yards or more while the Colts were building a 38-7 lead before Steichen pulled him out of the game. The Titans then scored 2 TD's to cut the gap to 38-22 before Steichen then reinserted Taylor ...... or did you not watch the game ???

He should not have been taken out to begin with. That's an entirely different thing and part of my problem with Steichen.

If you think that Taylor is a great RB then just state that. I will wholeheartedly
disagree.

That was not a great game by JT. Yeah ...he can run fast. I have seen so many better games by Edgerrin James that would make JT's performance pale in existence.

In fact I would still take Faulk or Addai over TJ, even if Faulk was a prick.
