The Colts also have a modest chance to win the AFC South should they run the table, and finish the season with a record of 10-7.
If the Colts lose this game and fall to 6-8 (which would include losing the aforementioned tie-breakers), they may as well start planning for next season ...... it's all on the line with this game, just as it was against the Patriots this past Sunday.

As Omaha pointed out earlier in the week in this thread, the Colts have lost almost every crucial, late-season game in which they played between 2019 and 2024, with the exception of the 2020 season when Philip Rivers was taking the snaps behind the center.
Jonathan Taylor's inexcusable gaffe which cost the team a chance to take a 20-7 lead and to get a real stranglehold in a game in which the Colts' defense was playing the game of their lives against the talented Bo Nix and company punctuated that failure.
