The draft is here again guys. This may be the most important draft for the Colts in a long time. It should set the foundation for the team for the foreseeable future.
With a trade down to 6, Ballard picked up 3 extra second round picks which was a steal. Is another trade down with Miami of the Bills in the works? Would they still get a premium player at those spots? And how may QB's will go in the top ten? Is a guard worth draft at the 6 spot? Will Chubb drop to the 6 spot? Who are the eight premium players Ballard mentioned? Lots of drama and questions to be answered in this draft. I will use the same rules Sherck set up on previous contests. See them below. If the Colts DO trade a draft pick, I will try to grade the draft choices as close as possible to the original pick. For instance, the Colts trade the #6 pick overall for the #12 pick overall plus a 2nd and 3rd round pick. In that case, if no other trades occur, then the #12 overall pick will be graded with the #6 overall selections and the 2nd and 3rd round pick will be ignored since we did not submit picks against it EXCEPT to score the categories of “player picked but in a different round.” Submit 3 choices for each draft selection: Round 1, Pick 6 (#6 overall) Choice A = 10 points Choice B = 7 points Choice C = 5 points Round 2, Pick 4 (#36 overall) Choice A = 7 points Choice B = 5 points Choice C = 3 points Round 2, Pick 5 (#37 overall) Choice A = 7 points Choice B = 5 points Choice C = 3 points Round 2, Pick 17 (#49 overall) Choice A = 7 points Choice B = 5 points Choice C = 3 points Round 3, Pick 3 (#67 overall) Choice A = 5 points Choice B = 4 points Choice C = 3 points Round 4, Pick 4 (#104 overall) Choice A = 5 points Choice B = 4 points Choice C = 3 points Round 5, Pick 3 (#140 overall) Choice A = 5 points Choice B = 4 points Choice C = 3 points Round 6, Pick 4 (#178 overall) Choice A = 5 points Choice B = 4 points Choice C = 3 points Round 7, Pick 3 (#221 overall) Choice A = 5 points Choice B = 4 points Choice C = 3 points UDFA: Write down 5 names. Score 1 point each if we sign any of them. Score 2 points (like below) if we draft one of them (wrong round). ADDITIONAL SCORING: 1 point = If you predict a Colts trade 2 points = If you predict a Colts trade AND the correct trade partner and slot 2 points = Player selected is in your “choice matrix” somewhere (i.e. OLB Tim Williams is the Colts selection for our 3rd round pick. You had indicated that OLB Tim Williams was your C Choice for the 2nd round. You would score 2 points for having written his name down somewhere on your selection matrix.). 1 point = Pick the correct position of the player selection (i.e. your choices for the 3rd round pick are: A Choice = CB Jimmy John, B Choice = ILB Bobby Button and C Choice= S Tommy Tutu. The actual choice is CB Billy Barns. You would score 1 point because you had the correct position as one of your choices.). All picks are FINAL as of 7:59pm on Thursday, 27 April 2017 Eastern Standard Time. No changing later round picks based on whom we selected in earlier rounds. Have fun, Colts Freaks. GO BALLARD! |
