As great as his 2022 was, he wasn't in the Mahomes, Allen, Burrow tier. And that's what this money is, tier-1. I read some salary cap guy not long ago predicting Burrow's contract to be like $215m... shit, not anymore.

As for Hurt, we'll see if he comes back to Earth. I've seen enough guys cash in a meteoric rise type of season and not live up to the cap sacrifice. Rewarding one great season with the title of "highest paid ever" is a bold move.
