With Daniel Jones named the team's starting QB to start the season, C&O is going with his usual dreamy-eyed prediction for 2025.

5-12 but I wouldn't be shocked if we were 11-6 either, but realistically we are a 4-5 win team, AGAIN!

Probably somewhere between 7-10 and 10-7, exactly where this team does not need to be. Daniel Jones is not going to be Sam Darnold 2.0, Darnold had arm talent and wasn't robbed by injury of his physical gifts. At this point it's completely illogical to not start Richardson.

Once again I was fooled by the overly optimistic reports from summer camp and felt that we were going to be a defensive giant and that we would have a balanced offensive attack. Every year, I read all this optimistic bullshit and because I want to believe it, I do. Well, reality has set in and aside from 1 or 2 surprising performances in games they win when they should get their asses kicked, this team wins 6 games tops.

And as usual, I'll watch every game hoping for the best and thinking, next year will be different.

Well, maybe I should celebrate, the team actually won more games than I predicted. And, it only took the first 8 games of the season to do it. With 9 games to go, I'm reading Super Bowl predictions on this board. Even Choppedwood is holding off on burning Ballard, Steichen and Taylor with the hairs from his ass. At that time, rose colored glasses were the required uniform for the board.

Richardson clearly wasn’t ready, can’t protect himself, can’t run the play properly, …Jones can still play, he was decisive and made the right reads in preseason. When he got in rhythm the offense had a bounce to it

How was that clear? AR improved his short and intermediate accuracy, and the offense moved better with him at the helm.

Jones is the "safe bet", because with him you're going to get 7-10 wins. AR is the boom or bust play. Either he fails and the Colts get a top 5 pick, or he succeeds and the Colts compete for a championship.
