Default Minshew a colt

Does this assure us of drafting a QB and he is the bridge, or trading down and waiting until next year for a QB and rolling with Gardner?

Looks like backup money to me.

I don't think his salary would have been much different regardless of how he is used. If we can trade back and gain an additional 2nd. this year or next I would do it and take BPA and go with Gardner for a season. If they went that way I would hope they do a couple of the vets a solid and trade them to a contender. D-Buck especially. That dude needs a shot at a title.

That was quick. One year, $3.5M is cheap for a QB who knows the system.

I like this move. There’s no downside. And he’s a capable fill in should it come to that.

It is a nice move. Ballard certainly knows how to fill out a roster. Great at getting quality backups. If only we had starters. It will be interesting to see if there is actually a plan that he can execute. Anybody here have a clue what we are up to?

Exactly. If the rookie Qb isnt ready, Minchew plays. Minchew is an assistant coach. He is a pro and he can help get the rookie ready.

There isnt a Manning in this draft.

I love it if they draft a QB this year. I hate it if they don’t. Minshew is just decent enough to stop the tank and put the team in a similar (or worse) situation next year. If they don’t draft a QB I’d rather roll with Ehlinger and secure a top two pick.

Great move. Does anyone know if he is still rocking a stache?
