2023 NFL Draft contest

I’ll admit that I’m a sucker for contests, and, with only 5 days until the draft, I haven’t seen one pop up here. So, I figured I’d step into the breech, so to speak.

This is actually a slimmed down version of Sherck’s contest from a few years ago that I dug up. He included extra points for correctly predicting trades and such, but, to the truth, I wanted to keep it simpler.

I wasn’t sure how or whether it was even possible to design a contest that makes allowances for Chris Ballard’s inevitable trades. Right now, the Colts have 9 draft picks, but who knows how many they’ll end up with. So, if Ballard trades away, say, the 3rd and 4th round picks in order to move up, the picks you make for those rounds will become wild cards, worth an extra 5 points if they’re picked. If he adds draft picks aund selects someone you’ve chosen in another round, you get 5 points.

Choice A = 10 points
Choice B = 7 points
Choice C = 5 points

Choice A =7 points
Choice B =5 points
Choice C =3 points

Round 3
Choice A = 7 points
Choice B = 5 points
Choice C = 3 points

Choice A = 7 points
Choice B = 5 points
Choice C = 3 points

Round 5
Choice A = 5 points
Choice B = 4 points
Choice C = 3 points

I would have included a fictitious million dollar prize for the winner; but, frankly, the pillow guy’s experience with that scares the bejeezus out of me. ��
