In 1975, Jim was a 16 year-old water-boy for the Baltimore Colts. Those 1975 AFC East champions were his favorite Colts team ever.
In 1982, after graduating from SMU with a bachelor's degree, Jim was named Vice-President of the Baltimore Colts.
In 1984, Jim was named the General Manager of the Indianapolis Colts.
In 1996, Jim essentially became the Principal Owner of the Indianapolis Colts after his father suffered a stroke.
Since Jim took ownership of the team in April of 1996, the Colts have had an overall regular-season record of 258-191-1 ...... that's the 4th-best record in the entire NFL in that time-frame.
